Second week of school!

Hi Everyone!

Thank you for stopping by our classroom blog.

This week in class:

We are focusing on showing our P.R.I.D.E. in all parts of the school and at all times of the day. The hallway is one place that we are continuing to work especially hard on this! How can you show your P.R.I.D.E. in the hallway at school?

In reading we are beginning to work on the skill of setting. We are doing this in our story: A Visit with Grandpa. This story will not be tested until 9/23.

In Social Studies students are learning about continents and oceans. Students will need to be able to identify all seven continents and all four oceans. We have been working hard on this in class! A study guide be sent home tomorrow (Wednesday 9/14).

In Math, students are beginning to work on geometry. What is a ray? What is a line? What is a line segment?

Phew! Lot's of things going on in room 206.

Don't forget to feed our fish!

Creating our State Posters!

Boys and Girls,

Today we will begin to organize our facts on the state that we have chosen to research. We will be creating posters to share the information we have found. Remember, you want to inform other students all about your STATE! Be sure to include all necessary facts and details that describe those facts. (Don't just say: "It's climate is warm." Tell us temperatures, weather patterns, and DETAILS!)

Check this site out in today's class:

AnneMarie's Week In Review

Dear whoever is reading ,
This week we did many fun things. In math we learned congruent and similar and their meanings. In reading we read Into The Sea.We also had Wellness on Wheels. In math we also did fractions, percents, and decimals. We also played the game Concentration. Another thing we did was have a field trip.We went to the rivers and did science stuff like make boats and cars.On Wednesday we went to a band concert which had many wonderful players. Another thing that we acknowledge is the royal wedding.Miss Mulvahill got a hat and she says the next prince wants to marry her! Jokes! As you can see there are a lot of things that we did and what I hope to do next week.
Sincerely,
Miss AnneMarie Natalie Bittner
