This week we did many fun things. In writing workshop we had to write a persuasive letter to Miss Mulvahill so she would share her breakfast. We are also starting Family Pictures about our families. In math we are learning the digits and digits in the MILLIONS PLACE!That's easy for me but maybe not for other kids.In reading we learned all about authors purpose. In gym we did a lot of tests. We did a beep test, a sit up test, a pull up test, and a mile run! On the last day we do olympic games which is where we shout out names of games and play only three. We had a lot of fun this week.

So You Need to Know the Continents and Oceans?
In Social Studies, students have been working on the Continents and Oceans. We have also begun to talk about reading maps and directions.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, there will be a short quiz on the continents and oceans. Students need to be able to identify all 7 continents and 4 oceans. There is a study guide going home today.
Here is a fun little review if you'd like to use it to study!

Week in Review by Wesley
This week we did writing and we are making cause & effect stories. We read a Train to Somewhere and its long.We learned about subjects and predicates in grammar and its kind of hard. Our class had MAP tests and on the math one I took over 1 hour and I was the last 1 done.In social studies we looked at where the 7 continents and the oceans are. Our target skill this week is sequencing but it will be something else next week.In math we used compasses and paperclips can be a compass also. And that was about our week at school.
